  1. 1. Is my holiday financially protected?


    Travel Service Direct Limited is an Accredited Body Member of Hays Travel Ltd, ATOL 5534

    All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it.     Travel Service Direct are a trading division of Hays Travel Limited. We are members of ABTA and our membership number is L6652. ABTA and ABTA members help holidaymakers to get the most from their travel arrangements and we are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct.     We also include 'Supplier Failure Cover' on all holiday bookings. This does not replace normal holiday insurance, but it does give financial protection in the event of one of more suppliers of your holiday failing. For example, if you had booked a flight, hotel, attraction tickets and car hire through us but the flight company ceased trading, you would still get your money back. You would be able to claim the cost of the flights back from this insurance policy. If you were unable to rebook flights you would be able to claim the cost of cancelling the accommodation etc.

    It's important to note that if you book a flight elsewhere and you don't have a similar policy, you would not be able to claim the cost back via any other means. Therefore the SFC policy is very important and a great reassurance to our customers. Supplier Failure Cover protects all components of the holiday you book through us, but not if you book components with another provider.

  2. 2. What is Supplier Failure Cover (SFC?)


    We issue Supplier Failure Cover on all tailormade packages.  It means if the supplier of any aspects of your holiday delays your departure, cancels, or goes into liquidation your costs of replacing those aspects are covered. With most other schemes you are only protected up to the price you originally paid, and so if an airline collapsed and you had to book alternative flights at a higher price, you would have to pay the difference. With our FREE Supplier Failure Cover (SFC) this cost is covered. Supplier Failure Cover protects your bookings for up to 1,000 GBP per person.

     

     

    Supplier Failure Cover offers additional protection and is not an alternative to a standard travel insurance policy. You will need to purchase travel insurance in addition to this cover.

     

     

    The policy will not cover costs if you decide against travelling or any costs which are refundable or recoverable from companies bonded or insured elsewhere.
